FALCON -EVO 6 .5 VFA

Additional Information

In developing the new Variable Forward Arm (VFA), Bomford has

completely revolutionized mower arm design in that now the operator

has the flexibility to not only move the arm and head in and out at

90 degrees to the tractor, but also, back and forth in line, parallel to

the tractor.

The new Variable Forward Arm incorporates a unique new parallel

linkage system that enables the arm to be moved backward and

forward parallel to the tractor. Initially available as an option for the

Falcon Evo 6.5, the design of the parallel linkage system means that in

addition to altering the reach of the mowing head up to 21’ from the

tractor cab, the mowing head can be moved forward by 6’, or moved

back by 3’, giving a total traverse of 9’.

The ability to alter not only the reach of the mowing head, but also its

position parallel to the tractor provides the operator with complete

flexibility. It will allow the operator to position the mowing head

alongside the tractor in a position that gives optimum visibility, so

when an obstacle such as a road sign is reached, the arm can be

accurately maneuvered around the obstacle.

HAWK VFA

The new Bomford Hawk VFA (Variable

Forward Arm) offers many advantages over

conventional boom mowers.

The rear mounted machine is 3 point hitch mounted standard

with axle mounting as an option, this enables the mower to be

quickly removed/attached to free the tractor of other operations.

Its variable forward arm feature where the tractor stands still and

the head moves forward by 5’ and backwards 2’, a total traverse

of over 7 feet. This gives a mid-mount head position alongside the

operator, but can be positioned rearward for other operations.

Enabling a transport position within the tractor width.

The Hawk VFA comes standard with independent hydraulic

system providing cutting power to the head and superior

arm control via a choice of controls including our ICS fully

proportional fingertip control.
